"The four-months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Linn, that had been ill from its birth, died early last Friday morning. The funeral service was conducted at the home on Saturday afternoon and interment was in Valley View Cemetery."
From a baby book, written by Ruth's mother, my grandmother, Annie Gertrude Govreau Linn:
"Ruth had 2 surgeries for cleft palate. The first surgery was on May 11, 1916. The surgery went well and she came home on May 27, 1916. The second surgery was on July 27, 1916. The surgery went well but she died in the hospital, from pneumonia, at 7 o'clock on July 28, 1916."
