Rolland A. Anderson, 103, of rural Kewanee, Il. died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at 3:17 A.M. at Kewanee Care Home. Rolland was born July 27, 1912 in Hart, Michigan the son of William T. and Ida M. (Lindstrom) Anderson. He graduated from Grand Bear Lake High School in Michigan in 1930. Rolland came to the Kewanee area in 1937. He married Faye Rice on October 18, 1942. The couple began farming west of town in 1947. Faye died on May 15, 1997. Rolland was also preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and six brothers. Surviving is one brother Ralph Anderson of Graham, N.C., several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rolland was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kewanee, Burns Grange, Kewanee Odd Fellows and Rebekah Lodge and the Vasa Lodge of Bishop Hill. He and enjoyed reading and traveling with his wife.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, Il. Rev. Paul Copeland of the First United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Toulon Cemetery.
