Side Note:
"Sauren and Susan Stanford
Memorials 19010026 and 19010048. According to letters found in the Richard Stanford papers held in the North Carolina state archives his son's name was spelled Saurin. The grave markers are most likely among those placed by Ralph Stanford in the mid-1900s. Other markers placed by him contain name spelling errors. The one he placed for Jesse Dickins (whose name spelling is verified by his will and many papers signed by him when has Person County clerk) reads Jessie Dickens. You may wish to note the misspelling on their memorials.
