US Congressman. Elected to represent Iowa's 9th District in the United States House of Representatives, he served from 1928 to 1929. He also served as a Member of the Iowa State Legislature, State Court Judge in Iowa, and as an Alternate Delegate to the Republican National Convention from Iowa in 1936.
