Furtado, Joseph, age 73, born St. Michael Portugal, resided on 1916 Kaumualii St., died at St. Francis hospital at 11:05 a.m. June 8, 1946. Body on view at Borthwick's Funeral Parlors, today, June 10 from 5 to 9 p.m. and Tues., June 11, from 8 a.m. Procession will leave at 10:30 a.m. for a requiem high mass at St Anthony's church at 11 a.m. Burial at Kaiulani Cemetery. Survived by wife- Mrs. Julia P. Furtado. Sons-Manuel, John, William, Frank and Louis Furtado Daughters, Mrs. Alexandria Almeida, Mrs. Mary Enos, Mrs. Adele Bortfield, Mrs. Rose Denis, Mrs. Irene Amaral, 27 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, 2 brothers- Jesse and Alfred Furtado- both in Oakland, Calif.. Sister- Mrs. Elizabeth Gabriel of Kekaha, Kauai. Deceased had retired after 37 years of service from O.R.&L. Co. and was a member of Lusitana society and The Kalihi-kai Holy Ghost society.
