Thomas Bucklin
‎ ‎ ‎ Thomas Bucklin, 68, 1674 Ninth Ave. E., died at his home Tuesday morning of a short illness.
‎ ‎ ‎ He was born April 5, in Birch Creek. He came to Twin Falls in 1931 from Portland, Ore. Mr. Bucklin was a member of the First Christian church of Twin Falls and served as a deacon at one time. He was a member of Twin Falls Elks Lodge No. 1183 and also served as trustee. A 1927 graduate of the University of Idaho, Mr. Bucklin was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
‎ ‎ ‎ He served on Maroa school board and held the position of clerk for many years. He also served on the Federal Housing Board and served in the U. S. Army during World War I in Haiti.
‎ ‎ ‎ Mr. Bucklin was a member of the American Legion and at one time was a first lieutenant in the Idaho National Guard. At the end of World War II he served on the local draft board. On Feb. 4, 1928, he married Hazel Parish in Portland, Ore.
‎ ‎ ‎ Surviving in addition to his widow are one son, Thomas C. Bucklin Jr., Cincinnati, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Beverely) Pickering, Twin Falls; three sisters, Mrs. Muriel Johnson, Westwood, Calif.; Mrs. Laura Lines, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Freda Beach, Burbank, Calif., and five grandchildren. One brother preceded him in death. Funeral arrangements are pending at White Mortuary.
