Junior was such a great pup. He was taken from us way to early. He was unbeknownst to us born with one developed and one undeveloped lung. We were not aware of this until it was to late. In the middle of the night he was whining and we thought he was just crying cause he wanted to sleep upstairs with us. He and his big buddy Chief (Great Dane) slept in their kennels at night.

When I got up to get ready for work he was still whining and so was Chief. I let him out thinking he had to go out and he just sat there looking at me gasping. I told the wife something was wrong and she held him while I called the vet that wasn't really opened yet, (they had a night crew for something). They called the doc and said come in, just as I was getting ready to go he passed in my wife's arms and that was that. We miss him so much. The doc told us that his good lung collapsed but not sure why. He may have made it if his other one developed but it didn't and we were not aware of that until to late. The wife still cry's every time his name is mentioned and we miss and love him very much. I'm sorry you did not get to live a long life.

Chief the Great Dane knew something was wrong when I didn't come home with his buddy Junior. After a while I got the wife another Chihuahua (Lil-Bit) and it took Chief a while to get close to him realizing it was another dog and not Junior. Animals know things that we just cant explain. Lil-Bit and Chief became best of friends.
