After a brave battle with cancer, Milt passed away at home with family at his side.

He married his high school sweetheart Marlene in 1950, a marriage that lasted 65 years.

He taught school several years and coached until joining Firestone in 1953. A 31 year career that he started as an Office Manager, up the ladder to Division Manager in charge of all retail stores west of Denver, settling down in Fresno in 1976.

Milt's devoted Christian faith was the bond that weaved throughout every aspect of his life. He faithfully attended and served in many capacities at The Bridge Church. He was deeply committed to seeing others come to know Christ. His prayer was for his family to walk closely with the Lord.

After retiring from Firestone, he spent the next 25 plus years serving and giving back. He started reading to kids at school. He volunteered at Word Impact that lead him to serving on their board. He also served on the board of Evangelicals for Social Action and Samaritan Women.

Milt's love of horses was more than just a hobby. Raising and training horses was his love and shared this with his family. He rode regularly well into his 80's.

Milt is survived by his wife Marlene; three children, Steven Pugh and wife Loretta of Woodinville, WA, Mark Pugh of San Diego, CA, and Leah Chase and husband Todd of Madera, CA; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
