Virginia Jacqueline "Jackie" Wiley passed away July 21, 2006, in Bend, Ore. She was born and raised in Helena and is the daughter of the late Gov. John and Josephine Bonner.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack E. Wiley; and her siblings, Jo Calhoun, Billie Bonner and Tom Bonner.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Kathy and Mike Paukert of Spokane, Wash., and Lillian and Robert Quinn of Bend; and six grandchildren: Alex Paukert, Megan Quinn, Annaliese Paukert, Shannon Quinn, Colleen Quinn and Zach Paukert. She is also survived by a loving sister, Patricia Barker of Helena, and several nieces and nephews.

Jackie became one of Montana's first women neon-sign-tube benders when she and Jack owned Capitol Neon Sign Company. She sat on many boards including the Tax Appeal Board. Jack and Jackie built the Mini Storage Center, and she has been the owner and operator of that facility. Her most important and fulfilling job was that of mother and grandmother. She loved to travel and would spend winters in Arizona at her home there. She had many travel adventures with her family and friends. Her passion was spending time with her daughters and grandchildren, and she will be truly missed. Jackie will always be remembered for her keen sense of humor, her generosity and kindness. She touched so many people in her 74 years, and her legacy continues with her family and friends who were greatly enriched by her love.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 29, at 10 a.m. at Retz Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at a later date in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 5713, Helena, MT 59604-5713.
