George was the son of David Brown Aylesworth and Anna Eliza Smith. He married Ruth Power on 19 November 1915 at Philadelphia, PA. They were the parents of seven children were born, Robert, Richard, Janet, Virginia, Marlon, Eleanor, and Wilhelmena.


June 26, 1956 - Storm Lake Register - Word has been received in Storm Lake of the death of George Aylesworth, who at one time was a popular music instructor at Buena Vista college. While living in the Storm Lake community he will be remembered as a leader of the community band. He also served as choir director of the Methodist church for many years.

Mr Aylesworth, who had been living in Phoenix, Ariz., passed away Sunday evening. Service details are not available at this time. However the body is being brought to Storm Lake for burial.

He was preceded in death by his wife.

Six children survive.
