He served in the Army from 1952-61.
He is survived by his wife, Lorie Garcia of Modesto; children, Dell Peter Garcia of Tacoma, Wash., Merry L. F. Garcia of Modesto, Steven Mie-lich and Christian Mielich, both of San Jose, Michael Mielich of Fremont and Katherine Mielich of Citrus Heights; stepmother, Merle Dunn of Portland, Ore.; brother, Richard Dunn of Florida; sister, Kim Dunn of Portland; and six grandchildren.
No services. Burial at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella.
