Seline J. Vaala of Clarkdale, AZ passed away November 22nd, 2014 peacefully in her home after a long illness.
She was born in 1939 in Fargo, ND to Esther Olsgaard Vaala and Gordon Vaala.
Seline graduated from Fargo Central High in 1957 and entered x-ray technician training at the Grand Forks clinic and the University of MN.
Seline met many of her lifelong friends through her interests and hobbies. She raised Persian show cats, many of which won awards and trophies. She also developed an interest in astrology, spiritual studies and various natural healing methods and devoted most of her life to these pursuits.
In 1981, Seline went back to college and began a 33-year career in the insurance industry.
She received designations for Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and became a trusted Financial Planner and friend to her clients, inspiring trust and confidence.
Family mattered a great deal to Seline and she created many wonderful childhood memories with camping and fishing trips, picnics, summer vacations and family get-togethers.
Seline will always be remembered as a person with a passion for learning and expanding her knowledge. She was truly a life-long learner and forward thinker who strived to apply her knowledge and experience in service to others.
Seline faced many difficult challenges in her life and was an example for others on how to persevere with courage and a positive attitude.
Seline is preceded in death by her mother, Esther O. Vaala. Her memory will be lovingly cherished by her sister, Denise O. Farol, children, Nikki L. Hamilton and Darren R. Carlson, grandchildren, Amanda, Christopher and Alexander Hamilton as well as numerous nieces and nephews and good friends. She will be missed by many!
