Her husband died in Missouri August 9, 1862, during the Battle of Sears Creek during the Civil War, possibly Grundy County, MO.

Mrs. McBride, the aged mother of Mr. Nathan McBride, one of the proprietors of the Marion and Tile works, died, yesterday.

1870 US census Cedar Rapids, Linn Co. IA: Christ McBride, female, age 48 born PA; son David age 26 born IA, daughter Laura age 18 IA, daughter Alice age 12 IA and son Nathan age 9 IA.
