Services for R. Searle Anderson, 81, formerly of 7164 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville, who died Saturday at a local nursing home, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fairchild & Meech DeWitt Chapel, 3690 Erie Blvd. E. Burial will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.

The family will greet friends after the service at the funeral chapel.

Mr. Anderson was a native and life resident of the Syracuse area. He was a graduate of Hamilton College class of 1931.

A vice president for Blue Cross, he worked for the company for 20 years. He retired in 1971.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Anderson was a member of the Onondaga Valley Presbyterian Church.

He was a former member of the Cavalry Club and a member of the Konosioni Lodge, 950 F.&A.M.

Surviving are his wife, the former Jane Fredericks; a brother, Robert H. of Syracuse; a sister, Caroline A. Stover of Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews.
