Life's Work/Service/Interests: On August 5, 1935, she married Ernest Nelson Turner; they were sealed in the Manti Utah LDS Temple on May 20, 1937. They were blessed with 10 children, raising seven to adulthood. Melba was always known as a hard worker the entire 96 years she spent on earth. She was always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need of it. She was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sweet sister, aunt and friend. Melba Ackerman Turner returned to our Father in Heaven on Saturday, August 30, 2014.
Survived By: Her daughters: Myrna (Doyle) Hess, Betty Lindstrom, Vonda Druce, Peggy Lewis, Nila (Val) Phelps; her son, Gordon (Carole) Turner; her sister, Gelene Davies; and 26 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren, and 33 great great grandchildren.
