Mr. JAMES HAMILTON died Wednesday at his home in W. Franklin St., from paralysis, aged 78 years. He was stricken on Sunday last and never recovered consciousness.

The deceased was the only brother of the late Gov. Wm. T. Hamilton and is survived by a sister, Miss Julia A. Hamilton.

He had been living a retired life for some years.

The family greatly appreciate the tenders of aid made by friends during the illness of the deceased and the many expressions of sympathy.

He was a charter member of the Junior Fire Co.

The funeral of the late James Henry Hamilton takes place from his late home at 3 o'clock, Friday. Pallbearers are: J.V. Jamison, Benj. F. Shafer, R.J. Halm, Ernest Hoffman, Dr. C.E.S. McKee and three from the Junior Fire Co., H.A. McComas, O.D. McCardell and John Gassman, the members of which company will be represented by committee named by President Munson tonight. Remains will be laid by the late father and mother of the deceased, Henry Hamilton and Anna Mary Magdalen Hess, in Rose Hill.
