Jessie Cole was the daughter of Philander Blakeslee Cole and Dorothy Barden Witter.

Jessie and Alexander Y. Lowe were married October 9, 1883 by the Reverend Homer Thrall. Her sister Dorothy "Dolly" married John Sellers the same day, presumably a double wedding as Reverand Thrall also performed the ceremony.

In 1900 Jessie and Alexander (birth Oct 1856 in Wales) were living in Paris Township, Marysville, Union County with Jessie's widowed mother. Alexander's occupation was salesman. Jessie reported that she had no children.

In 1910 Jessie resided with her mother and brother James, a widower. Jessie gave her marital status as divorced. She did not answer the questions regarding children or occupation. She was using her maiden name.

In 1920 Jessie was living alone in the family home at 210 Main Street in Marysville. She gave her marital status as divorced and gave no occupation.

Jessie died in Grant Hospital, Columbus, Ohio, the last of her siblings. The informant on the death record was Elwood Sawyer of Marysville. (Elwood was an insurance agent). Marital status was given as widowed.

Note: The date on the death record is May 5th, however the doctor's certification was dated May 6th and the date on the monument also reads May 6th.
