MRS. ANNA MOTZFELT DIES AT THE AGE OF 87 YEARS

Mrs. Anna Motzfelt, 87, who resided at 121 West Fourth street, Auburn, died at the Dr. J.A. Sanders hospital in Auburn at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday from complications of advanced age.

Mrs. Motzfelt had been in serious condition for the past two weeks and entered the hospital a week ago. She had resided in Auburn for the past seven years and was a resident of the area all of her lifetime.

She was born April 5, 1874 in Garrett and was the daughter of John and Rickie Reesch Steffen. She and John W. Motzfelt were married in Garrett in 1892. Her husband preceded her in death in 1951.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Elmer Paulen of 1312 Pearl street, Auburn; four grandchildren, Alfred Paulen of Rt. 2, Auburn, Robert Paulen of 602 South Phillip street, Auburn, Mrs. Dale Grogg of 1100 Superior Drive, Auburn, and Dean Paulen of Waterloo; six great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Louise Burtch of Garrett.

The body was removed to the Dilgard & Cline funeral home in Auburn where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Willard Doyle, pastor of the First United Methodist church in Auburn, officiating. Burial will be in the Roselawn cemetery, near Auburn.
