She was the daughter of John and Fredericka (Risch)Steffan.

She was married 3 times: 1)Fred Cloy on 24 May 1882. That marriage ended in divorce in 1869. 2) Conrad Schleusser. After his death, she married 3) John Hutton.

She had 2 dtrs with Fred Cloy: Elizabeth and Nettie. Conrad Schleusser had dtr, Anna from a previous marriage. Minnie and Conrad had a son, John.

Auburn lost another of its older residents Friday morning at 7:45 in the death of Mrs.John Hutton, who passed away at her home at 711 East Seventh street after an illness of four days. A complication of diseases proved fatal at the age of 80 years and three months. Mrs. Hutton was born at the home of her parents on the south Garrett-Auburn road and had spent all of her life in DeKalb county. She was a member of St Mark's Lutheran Church. The husband survives: three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Fee of Hamilton and Mrs. Emmett Shroyer and Mrs Wesley Miller of Jackson township; one son, John Schleucher of Detroit; two brothers, Frank Steffin of Fort Wayne and john Steffin of Chicago; three sisters, Mrs Emma Miller of Butler Center, Mrs Louise Burtch of 801 South Randolph street, Garrett and Mrs. Anna Mutafeld of Jackson township; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Hutton residence Monday afternoon at 2 o;clock. Rev. A.k. Trout, pastor of St Mark's church will officiate and burial will be made at Woodlawn Cemetery.
