The couple were the parents of eight children, George Augustus (11 Aug 1841-20 Aug 1841), Henry Sandfield, Lilla, Marie-Joséphine Macdonald Langlois (1844-1929), Louise Christine, Cecille Cora, Adele Isabelle Macdonald Pemberton and George Sandfield Macdonald (02 Mar 1860 in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada-16 Jun 1939 in Istachatta, Hernando, Florida).
Christine remained in Cornwall until her death in 1909.
She was survived by George Sandfield Macdonald, barrister (Montreal, Québec), Josephine (Macdonald) Langlois (Portneuf, Québec), Louise Christine (Macdonald) Uppleby (Italy), Adele (Macdonald) Pemberton (Bournemouth, England). The other members of the family were the late Henry Sandfield Macdonald and Lilla Macdonald, also deceased.
The Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Columban’s Church by the Very Rev. George Corbet, and interment followed at St. Andrew's West Cemetery*.
