John A. Olson died on August 14 and was buried Monday, August 16. He was one of the oldest settlers in this township and owned one of the finest farms around here. He has several times been trusted with public affairs and held offices of trust, which work he performed honestly, commanding the confidence of all he had to deal with. He was an active church worker and was a member of the Norwegian Synod church. His place in church was seldom vacant and he regularly partook of the Lord’s supper. The word of God was always dear to him and he has now without doubt gone to his final reward.

He leaves a wife and three children besides other relatives and many friends to mourn his loss. Henry is now in Stordahl, N. D., where he owns a farm; Mrs. P. T. Hanson, with her family, are living on the home farm; and Mrs. J. E. Halgrimson of this township. The sympathy of the community are with the bereaved family.
