UPDATE by W. S. Borders Jr (49161493):
Amanda M. King was born in Tennessee, one of the 11 children of Walter and Nancy Sevier King. Amanda married Hugh Lawson Breazeale on Feb 15, 1827 in Roane County, Tennessee, and they had two children, Walter Scott and Rufus. The family moved to Missouri, where Hugh was an attorney-at-law. Hugh was "shot dead" on November 4, 1833 near Independence, Missouri in a well publicized "skirmish" of the so-called Mormon War.

Amanda remarried to Hezekiah M. Bayless, and both are listed in the 1850 U.S. Census for Ray County, Missouri; his occupation is "farmer." At the time of Amanda's death in 1881 she was living with her third cousin, Charles B. Sevier*.

*Amanda's great-grandfather Valentine Sevier (1702 - 1803) was Charles' great-great-grandfather. This makes their relationship a third cousin relationship.
