New Stanton
John Krolik Sr., 92, of New Stanton, died Saturday, March 18, 2006, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Born April 17, 1913, in Vanderbilt, he was a son of the late George and Barbara Stelehaick Krolik. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army as a military policeman in Florida. He was a retired machinist for the former Irwin Sensenich Corp. He was a member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church in Herminie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Huznic Krolik, in 1998; three brothers, Charles, George and Mike Krolik; and two sisters, Ann Andrews and Elizabeth Moskal. Surviving are three sons, John Krolik Jr., of Silver Spring, Md., George Krolik Sr. and his wife, Betty, of New Stanton, and Michael Krolik and his wife, Anna, of New Stanton; two grandchildren, Kimberly Harrigan and her husband, Kevin, and George Krolik Jr. and his wife, Dawn; three great-grandchildren, Ashley, Emily and Ryan Harrigan; and two brothers, Samuel Krolik and Andrew Krolik, both of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the BEATTY-RICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Route 136, Madison. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Herminie, with Father Richard Whetstone as celebrant. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery with full military honors accorded by the Armbrust Veterans. Panachida service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
