Funeral Services for Old Resident Are Held on Wednesday
ARCOLA, Jan. 4 — The funeral of Mrs. Caroline Reinheimer was held at the family home on South Locust street Wednesday afternoon with Rabbi Taxay of Terre Haute in charge. Interment was in the Arcola cemetery.
Mrs. Reinheimer was the widow of the late Benjamin Reinheimer and died Monday morning after a few hours' illness of heart trouble. Her maiden name was Caroline Stein, and she was born in Freudenthal, Germany, June 26, 1846. She was 86 years of age at the time of her death. She was married to Benjamin Reinheimer April 27, 1873. She and Mr. Reinheimer were married in Chicago in 1873 and came at once to Arcola where they had since resided. Mr. Reinheimer was in business here at the time of their marriage and continued in business until his death, Feb. 3, 1927. He was at that time the oldest business man in Arcola. Mr. and Mrs. Reinheimer celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in April 1923. They were the parents of four children, Walter, Pearl and Alma of Arcola, and Leon of Tuscola, all of whom are living.
