Born in Pierre, S.D., she was raised in San Diego. She moved to Albany in 1951. She worked for Pacific Northwest Bell for 23 years. She was a member of the Albany Elkettes, the Albany Eagles Auxiliary and the Oregon Telephone Pioneers, where they made quilts for needy families. She enjoyed sewing and fishing. She married Gordon Vogt Sr. in 1938. He died in 1997. She was also preceded in death by a son and granddaughter.
Survivors include her son, Gordon Jr. of Albany; daughter, Patricia Ridders of Albany; brother, Louis Frick of Jefferson; sister, Shirley Reiger of Albany; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Willamette Memorial Park, Albany. Arrangements are by Fisher Funeral Home. Contributions: Albany Boys & Girls Club Foundation or Linn County Sheriff’s Search & Rescue, care of the mortuary.
