He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Joshua Melvin Folsom.
Survivors include his wife, Jenny Grissom Folsom; a daughter, Jacqueline Alabama "Bama" Folsom (Jeff) Hager; his mother, Jamelle Folsom; a brother, James E. (Marsha) Folsom; six sisters, Rachel Lichenstein, Melissa (Dick) Boyen, Bama Chesser, Ebelene "Scrappy" Folsom, Lala Marty and Melody (Doug) Hill; two grandchildren, Ellie and Henley Hager.
