Mrs. Niemann rites Monday
Services for Mrs. Emil W. (Ethel) Niemann, formerly of Nebraska City, who died Thursday at Denver, Colo., will be held on Monday at 2 p.m., at Peterson Mortuary chapel. The Rev. Samuel W. Hofer, pastor of First Presbyterian church, will officiate at the services.
Burial will be in Wyuka cemetery, Nebraska City.
Mrs. Niemann left Nebraska City and moved to Denver in 1972. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church and a past worthy matron of Queen Esther chapter of Order of Eastern Star Lodge No. 1 in Nebraska City.
She was born October 13, 1891, in Nebraska City, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hallabaugh(sic). On May 16, 1917, she and Emil W. Niemann, who preceded her in death in 1960, were married in Nebraska City. Mr. Niemann was mayor of Nebraska City in the 1940's.
Survivors include a son, Harold, Denver, Colo.; grandsons, Dr. Brand Niemann of Morego, Calif., and Dr. Garry Niemann, Denver; a granddaughter, Mrs. Sherry Faulkner, Salt Lake City, Utah, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Other survivors include a sister, Lulu Dwyer, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Louise Bone, and a brother-in-law, Dick Niemann, all of Nebraska City.
