Mary Anderson & Herman Johnson were married on January 23, 1904 in Iron Mountain, Dickinson, Michigan. Mary, 20, was the daughter of August & Bessie (Olson) Anderson. Herman, 27, an iron ore miner, was the son of Edward T. & Anna (Hokonson) Johnson. . Justice of the Peace Rudolph Th. Miller officiated the wedding. Attendants were Charles E. & Anna Johnson both of Iron Mountain.

Herman A. Johnson, 59, former Iron Mountain resident, died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at the Eastside General Hospital from heart trouble.

Born in Gottenburg, Bohustan, Sweden, he went to Ironwood, Michigan when he ws 19 & 3 months

later came to Iron Mountain where he worked as pumpman at the Pewabic Iron Ore Mine for more

than 20 years.

He had spent the last 16 years in Detroit, where he was employed by the Ford Motor Company for

11 years.

This widow, Mrs. Mary Johnson, lives in Detroit; his father, Edward T. Johnson & a sister, Hulda live

in Sweden; another sister, Mrs. Anna Sanders lives in Boston, Mass. & 3 brothers: Charles, Detroit,

Gust & John L., Havana, Illinois. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
