Teel Family Cemetery

According to "Record of Cemeteries in Albemarle County, Virginia Including Charlottesville, Vol.I" published by the Jack Jouett Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), 1978:
This cemetery is located approximately one mile beyond the city limits of Charlottesville, Virginia on Route 29 south and about one half mile off the main highway. The earliest grave marker is 1859. This cemetery is maintained by the family.

The Teel Family Cemetery was destroyed as a result of building the Redfields Subdivision. Some markers were moved to Mooreland Baptist Church Cemetery at 2255 Taylors Gap Road in North Garden.

George Washington Stark (1855-1927)
Agnes E. Teel (1834-1911)
Collin Johnson Teel (1849-1903)
Hester Moore Teel (___-1891)
Lewis Teel (1789-1864)
Mrs. M. Woods Teel (1794-1859)
Saml. Martin Teel (1819-1892)
In addition to the Teel Cemetery, there was a slave cemetery nearby. Its fate is unknown.
