Funeral services for Joel Arthur Lindell, 98, Omaha, were held Saturday, November 7, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church with the Rev. Carl E. Benander and Rev. Arnold Nelson officiating and burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Sellergren Lindell Funeral Home.
A retired farmer who had lived most of his life in Montgomery County of his life in Montgomery County. Mr. Lindell died Wednesday, November 4, at Lutheran Medical Center, Omaha, after an illness of seven weeks.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lindell, he was born February 16, 1872, in Andover, Illinois and was married in 1902 to Effie Eleanora Hultie who died in 1969.
Surviving are three sons, Einar, of Axtell, Nebraska, Delano of Red Oak, and Milton of Villisca; four daughters, Mrs. Arndt Ossian of Red Oak, Mrs. Elmer Linn of Elliott, Mrs. Elvin Isaacson of Omaha, and Mrs. Harold W. Anderson of Stanton; 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Cedalia Skinner and Mrs. Emma Snodgrass, both of Omaha.
Mr. Lindell was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
