Funeral services were held for D. W. "Walter" Anderson, Friday, March 11, 1988 at 2 p.m. at the Tabor Lutheran Church, Wallin, Iowa. The Rev. Melvin Suhr officiated the service.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak, Iowa.
D. W. "Walter" was born January 16, 1894 in Montgomery County to John and Johanna Anderson and passed away March 7, 1988 at the Stanton Care Center, Stanton, Iowa. He was married to Effie Requist in Stanton, Iowa on February 20, 1918, who preceded him in death August 5, 1973.
Walter farmed most of his life in the Stanton community and had been a resident of the Stanton Care Center since January 1979. He belonged to the Tabor Lutheran Church in Wallin.
Survivors include one son, Harold W. Anderson, Red Oak; 8 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Sellergren-Lindell Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
