Karl Everet Iner Malmquist, died March 2, 1945, 11:00 p.m. at the State Hospital, Iowa City of Brights disease, after an illness of two months.
Mr. Malmquist was born July 22, 1901, in Scott township, his parents were, Carl J. Mainquist and Hilda Rydquist. He was married April 10, 1924 at Red Oak to Bertha Ann Bishop.
Surviving children are, Everett Lee Malmquist, member of the Merchant Marine, Blanche Elaine Malmquist, Clarinda, Richard Carl Malmquist, at home.
Near relatives surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Malmquist, a brother Tech. Sergeant Delmar Malmquist, England, and a sister, Mrs. Altus Fisher, Red Oak.
Mr. Malmquist lived at Stanton and Red Oak during his entire lifetime. He came to Red Oak in 1920. In recent years his principal occupation has been that of a trucker. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be held at the Baptist Church, Red Oak, Wednesday, March 7, 1947, 2:30 p.m. Rev. L. Fremund and Rev. A. L. Smith, ministers in charge.
Pall bearers are Frank Wilson, Ralph Worstell, Russell Anderson, Phillip Clites, Ernest Spangenberg, John McCabe.
Musicians, issei's Florence Newberg, Mrs. Maxine Olson, Miss Marjorie Marcum, soloist, Mrs. Howard Brannock, organist.
Floral committee, Mrs. Dorothy Spangenberg, Mrs. Dorothy Clites, Mrs. Maxine Anderson.
Interment was in Red Oak Evergreen Cemetery, Sellergren service.

Bishop and Pearl Chapman, on April 19, 1924, in Red Oak, Iowa by Richard A. Smith, Baptist Church minister, witnesses were Mrs. Densil Marcum and Mrs. C. B. Bishop
