Bio

I've been studying genealogy for about 45 years, since I first traveled to Scandinavia to meet relatives there. I began photographing headstones of my paternal ancestors in Norway (Haugesund to Bergen area) and the interest expanded from there to the emigrants to America.

My wife's roots were from earliest history in Maine, which spread westward, and we've been documenting cemeteries as we travel. Most, but not all of my memorials are relatives.

I am retired and living on Whidbey Island, Washington, and would be happy to photograph a headstone locally.
