He was born in Westfield, MA, and was a self employed contractor. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of the Covenant Congregational Church in Cromwell, the Cromwell Kiwanis Club, the SVEA Social Club and Folk Dancing, The Swedish Folk Dancers of New York City, and the VASA Order of America.
He is survived by two sons, Kenneth E. Anderson of Cromwell, and Todd and his wife Tammy Anderson of Higganum; a daughter, Lisa and husband Ted Coughlin of Portland; two brothers, George Aderstadt of Boras, Sweden, and John M. Anderson of New Bern, NC; three sisters, Elvira Seivertsen of Trumpsa, Norway, Amy Bjorn of Glastonbury, and Ruth Jacob of Mystic; also four grandchildren, Thomas and Katherine Coughlin, and Matthew and Meghan Anderson; also a dear friend and companion, Sharon Holmberg. He was predeceased by a sister, Greta Krischus.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb 19, 11 a.m., at the Covenant Congregational Church in Cromwell. Burial in Rose Hill Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill, on Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friends may send contributions to a charity of the donor's choice, or to Covenant Congregational Church Memorial Fund, 82 Hicksville Rd., Cromwell, 06416.
