C. Murl Elliott, 82, 1040 S. Tompkins St., died at 12:55 a.m. today at W.S. Major Hospital. Mr. Elliott retired from Shelbyville Desk Company in 1970. He was a member of the First Christian Church and Shelbyville Masonic and Eagles Lodges. A son of John E. and Anna(Yost) Elliott, hewas born Oct. 25, 1902, in Jefferson County. He was married to Helen G. Kling, who died in 1983. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Susie Hixson, Newtown, N.J.; and an aunt, Mrs. Elva Cleaver, Shelbyville. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Murphy Mortuary with the Rev. James Horner officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary where Masonic services will be held at 8:30 p.m.
