Parents Harry K F. and Elizabeth Naholowa Ching. A long time resident of Ewa Beach and she graduated from Waipahu High School and received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Hawaii manoa in 1952. She married Gordon K.S. Chee who passed away in 1991.
She was vice president of the Hawaii State Teachers Association and was hawaii State Director of the National Education Association. She was instructor for the Foods of the pacific Summer program at the University of Hawaii and teacher with the Department of Education 9 English, SPED, DPT. Resource) or as a volunteer with the Friends of Hokulea and Hawailloa.
Daughter: Elisbeth Chee,son Howard Chee
Grandchildren Alyssa Makamae Amanda Pulei, Brandon and Kirra
