On May 4th we said goodbye to our little superhero Nathan Jeremiah "Superlight" Child, as he left us and went to Jesus. He was 5 years and 4-1/2 months old. Too young to leave us. Nathan was sick, but we didn't know it and he lived out his last days prior to being hospitalized in the same way he lived his life, keeping us on our toes. He was a creative, loving, sharing and exuberant boy who loved Jesus with all his heart. Months before our hearts were broken by his death he told me that he wanted to die. I was alarmed and wondered why he would say such a thing. He told me that he wanted to live with Jesus. I told him that he wasn't allowed; I wanted him here with me. I believe now that he knew and was trying to tell us. He was our little superhero, who said that he was one because the light of Jesus shone through his eyes and scared the devil away. There will never be another boy like him.
