One of Schuyler county's most promi­nent citizens, Silas C. Colegrove died at his home in Burdett, Tuesday afternoon, April 8, 1913. Mr. Colegrove was born in 1829, and had been a life-long resi­dent of this county, his father, Abraham C., settled in the town of Hector in 1822. Mr. Colegrove is survived by one son, Walter W. The funeral will be held at the home in Burdett Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
