DELBERT HARRIS Obit:

Delbert Harris was born on a farm east of Soldier June7, 1894 to Hans and Mary Harris. When about four years of age he moved with his parents to a farm east of Moorhead, where he made his home the rest of his life.

On February 19, 1919 he was united in marriage to Minnie Nicholsen at Onawa. To this union were born five children, four sons, two passing away in infancy, and Clair Harris of Onawa, Maynard Harris of Moorhead and one daughter, Maxine Griffith of Pisgah.

Survivors besides his wife and children are the daughters in law, son in law, six grandsons and four granddaughters. His parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters preceded him in death.

Delbert was a member of the Soldier Lutheran Church and had a host of friends in the Soldier and Moorhead community.

The funeral service was held July 18, at the country Lutheran church south of Soldier. Pastor John E. Carisson officiated. Magnus Jepson sand "The Old Rugged Cross" and "The Lord's Prayer", accompanied by Mrs. Jepson. Jean Amunson was the organist.

Casket bearers were Wayne Outhouse, Fred Bell, Harry Carlson, Raymond Fredrickson, Loren Coberly, and Glen Thoreson. Interment was in Spring Valley Cemetery at Moorhead with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home.
