Naval Seaman Ret. John J. Wieszczynski, 17, of 316 Fitch St.; died yesterday at Great Lakes Naval Hospital, Great Lakes, Ill., after collapsing at the naval base. The cause of death is not known.
A native of Syracuse, he attended Corcoran High School and joined the Navy a month ago.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Wieszczynski Sr.; four sisters, Valerie, Deborah, Anna and Jennifer; two brothers, Henry Jr. and Stanley; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Anna Wieszczynski of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Kompf Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
