Loraine Roggenkamp went to be with Jesus on April 22, 2012. She was born November 18, 1928 in Bluffton, Minnesota and graduated from high school in Wadena, Minnesota.

Loraine married Art Roggenkamp in 1948, they lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin until they moved to Camas, Washington in 1966.

She was a homemaker, raising nine children and occasionally helping her husband with their business, Roggenkamp Construction.

Loraine enjoyed trail riding and camping trips in Idaho by horse and mule. Many people in the community have the slippers that she loved to make. She was recently honored for 40 years of service in St. Vincent de Paul where her compassion and love for people touched many lives as she shared her faith in Christ and her deep and abiding love for Jesus. She was an active member of the Circle of Love charismatic prayer group and a Eucharistic minister at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Camas, Washington.

She has been the center of our family and she will be so missed. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Loraine is survived by her husband of 64 years, Arthur Roggenkamp; her children, Marilyn of Camas, Washington; Bruce of Lake Tapps, Washington, Joyce of San Jose, California, Terry (Bonnie) of Battle Ground, Washington, Linda (Dean) Johnson of Camas, Washington, Neal of Portland, Oregon and Keith of Battle Ground, Washington; her sister, Mary Jo (Keith) Petersen of Cambridge, Minnesota; her brothers, Bill Walz of Vancouver, Washington and Dennis Walz; 10 grandsons; one granddaughter; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dale; her daughter, Jenifer; her parents, Joe and Mary Walz; and brothers, Richard and Michael Walz.

A Vigil service was held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Camas, Washington. A Funeral Mass was on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at St. Thomas. Interment followed at the Camas Cemetery in Camas, Washington.
