The daughter of Kentucky's first Republican Governor William O’Connell Bradley and Margaret Robertson Duncan. Christine Duncan was a Delegate to Republican National Convention from Kentucky, 1920, 1928, 1932; a member of Republican National Committee from Kentucky, 1937. She christened the Battleship U.S.S Kentucky at the Newport News VA Naval Ship Yard in 1898. She was the wife of Dr. John Glover South who was U.S. Minister to Panama, from 1921-1930 U. S. Minister to Portugal, from 1930-1933.
