BARBEE. - Thomas Fry Barbee, who died at Baker City, Oregon, Friday, January 20th, was the son of Col. Thomas Barbee, deceased, a well-known and prominent citizen of Danville, and a brother of Miss Nannie Barbee, of this place. He received his academic training at Centre College; afterwards attending Princeton and graduating in law, which he practiced for a while after returning to Danville. When he concluded to go West he located at Baker City and at the time of his death was engaged in mining. His wife was Miss Henrietta Buford, of Illinois, and she preceded him to the grave several years ago. They left no children. Mr. Barbee was 63 years of age. He was' a man of noble, generous impulses, and had many friends in this community who will hear of his Remise with sincere regret. The remains are expected to arrive in Danville tonight and the interment will be made in Believue cemetery tomorrow.
