In 1901 Bruno and Jennie B. Smith were married in Syracuse, Onondaga County. Between 1902 and 1910 Bruno and Jennie had four sons, Leo, Francis, Arthur and Joseph. They resided at 436 Wilkinson Street, Onondaga County, Syracuse, N.Y. At that time, Bruno was employed as a tailor in Syracuse.
April 11, 1908 they both applied for a U.S.Passport with intentions of sailing to Europe. These passports were issued April 16, 1910. Information they sailed to Europe was never found.
Between 1910 and 1914 the family grew to a total of six children. 5 sons: Leo, Francis, Arthur, Joseph, John and 1 daughter, Agnes(later married Earl Gaylord.)
Needing more room for a growing family, Bruno and Jennie purchased a large farm on route 370, also known as Cold Springs Road, south of Baldwinsville, Onondaga County, N.Y.
Bruno changed his livelihood from working as a tailor to owning his own dairy farm. He became a successful dairy farmer with a large herd of Holsteins, and work horses.
Horses later replaced by a tractor. Bruno happily did this for the rest of his life. His son, Joseph, remained at home to help his father on the farm.
Bruno was affluent in several languages, a relatively quiet man, always showing devotion to his wife, children and later numerous grand and great grandchildren.
