John Schenck, aged 39 years, and who lived in Dresden in this county until sev­en years ago, when he moved to Fort Mil­ler, died on Saturday in a hospital in Oneonta. He started on Saturday on an automobile trip to Dresden to visit relatives and suffered a stroke which resulted in his sudden death. He leaves his wife, his father, C. Schenck, of Lyons, Mich.; his mother, who lives in Dresden; two sis­ters, Mrs. Henry O. Hood, of Dresden, and Mrs. Mary Mills, of Lyons, Mich., and two brothers, Richard, of Potter, and Orlando, of Fremont, Mich. The burial will be In Fort Miller.

The funeral of John Schenck was held at the home of his sister Mrs. H.O. Hood Wednesday afternoon. Rev.H. E. Andrews officiated with burial in Evergreen cemetery Dresden.
