OSSW Frona (Boyatt) Litton
Labon L. Litton, age 86, of Oneida, Tenn., and formerly of Jamestown, died March 31, 1995, at the LaFollette Medical Center. Born in Belle Farm, Ky., June 18, 1908, he was the son of the late John Sherman and Mary Ann Blevins Litton. He was a member of the South Main Street Baptist Church in Jamestown. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur and Henry Clay; one sister, Gertrude Adams and one special friend, Charlie Duncan. He is survived by his wife, Frona Boyatt Litton; four daughters: Helen Imboden and husband, Leroy, of Chehalis, Wa.; Norma Jean Fancher and husband, Tom, of Oneida; Naomi Joyce of LaFollette, Tenn., and Mary Franklin and husband, Elmer, Jr., of Crossville, Tenn.; four sons: Dorman Litton and wife, Violet, of Neenah, Wisc.; Garrett Litton and wife, Regina, of Robbins; Sherman Litton and wife, Kathie, of Oneida, and Joe Litton and wife, Mertice, of Jamestown, Tenn.; fifteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five brothers: George of Texas; Birdell and Phillip of Jamestown, Ky.; Columbus of Lexington, Ky., and Floyd of Cincinnati, Ohio; five sisters: Flora Inman of Md., Ruth Shepard of Ypsilanti, Mich.; Nora Redman of Lexington, Ky., Fannie Lamb of Clay City, Ky., and Lola Panter of Cleveland, Ohio; one special friend, Forrest Martin, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted April 3, 1995, in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Lloyd King and Rev. Dilmon Stanley officiating. Special music was provided by Charles Goad and Irene Chitwood. Interment was in the Sharp's Place Cemetery. The grandsons served as pallbearers.
