John Routt, second and only surviving son of the late Gov. John L. Routt, died at Goldfield, Nev., Sunday. Typhoid-pneumonia was the cause of death. Mr. Routt was 49 years of age. He is survived by his widow and two sisters, Mrs. W.H. Bryant of this city and Mrs, Emma Butler of San Francisco. he had made his home in Goldfield for last two years having been employed by the Goldfield Consolidated company.
Mr. Routt was born in Bloomington, Ill. He had come to Denver when a boy and had received his education in the Denver public schools. The body will be interred in Riverside cemetery. It is expected to arrive in Denver next Friday. The arrangements for the funeral will not be made until after the arrival of the body.
