Diane L. Ackley, 64, of Spraggs (Perry Township), died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2012, in her home, after battling a lengthy illness.

She was born May 8, 1947, in Graysville, daughter of the late Clinton and Dora Headlee Rush, and had resided in Perry Township since 1986.

Mrs. Ackley was a former member of Rolling Meadows Church of God and was attending First Assembly of God Church in Eastview at the time of her death.

She enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren, baking and reading.

On June 14, 1966, she married Howard Ronald Ackley, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Timothy, husband of Bethany Ackley of Sycamore, and Wayne, husband of Candy Ackley of Kirby; seven grandchildren, Thomas Braddock and Luke, Jacob, Avery, Clinton, Ian and Brooklynn Ackley; a brother, Roger, husband of Dawn Rush of Ruff Creek; and six sisters, Esther Vandorn of Florida, Mary Peck of Waynesburg, Loretta "Babe," wife of Charles Koscheck of Prosperity, Janet, wife of Bill Phelps of Mansfield, Ohio, Linda, wife of Charles Bland of Waynesburg and Carol Ann, wife of Robert Conklin of Crucible.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are a son, Ronald Raymond Ackley, who died at birth in 1971; two brothers, David and Joseph Rush; and three sisters, June Jones, Elouise Willard and Jean Crouch.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in Rush Funeral Home Inc., Rogersville, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 29, with the Rev.
