Devoted wife of John Ford Todd (1800-1851) a representative in the Kentucky Legislature from Logan County and who is buried in the Legislative section of the Frankfort Cemetery. Daughter of John Underwood (1767-1815) and Frances Rogers (1768-1809).

Sister of two U.S. Congressmen, Warner Lewis Underwood and Joseph Rogers Underwood. Taken captive in Baton Rouge, LA at the start of the Civil War, her son John Warner Todd was Commandant of the U.S. Arsenal there when Confederate troops captured it. After the death of her husband she stayed with her son whenever possible. A devout member of the Episcopal Church.
