Death of Wm. Davidson

Mr. Wm. Davidson, an old resident of Williamson county and a former resident of Georgetown, died at his home in Taylor Monday night after a long and painful illness. His remains, accompanied by relatives and friends, arrived here over the I.& G.N. R.R. Tuesday afternoon and were interred in the Odd Fellows cemetery besides the grave of his wife, the services being conducted by Rev. A.F. Carraway, pastor of the Methodist church in Taylor.

Mr. Davidson is survived by his son, ex Lieutenant Governor A.B. Davidson of Cuero, and two daughters Mrs. Thos Bruce of Tulia, Brewster county, and Mrs. Luke Mankin of Taylor, and numerous other relatives. Judge W.L. Davidson of the Court of Criminal Appeals is a nephew.

Mr. Davidson was a native of Tennessee, but came to Texas forty-three years ago, first locating in Travis county, near Liberty Hill, and thiry years ago located at Jonah, this county, where he erected a large flour mill and bought a farm. He leaves a large competency, stil owning his valuable farm near Jonah, Seventeen years ago he moved to Georgetown and ten years ago to Taylor.
